Week 1 Fantasy Football: Top DraftKings wide receiver plays 0. .

Here at Last Call Football we are extremely excited for the 2016 NFL season to begin. We are breaking down top DraftKings plays for week 1. Like we have mentioned before, here are the top Week 1 DraftKings contests, complete with a $1 million first-place payday for a $3 entry, a $20 game with $250k to first place and a free $100k guaranteed game.

We are looking to start off strong in DFS this season, so make sure you check out our top plays at quarterback and running back to construct a perfect lineup. Today’s article will give you high-priced plays, mid-priced and low-priced value plays at the wide receiver position.

*Just to note, we will not be including Thursday night players in this write-up.

Top DraftKings high-priced plays

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons ($9,400)

What’s not to love about rostering Julio Jones in week 1? He is going to get a ton of targets from Matt Ryan and he is going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I have Jones as my highest rated wide receiver overall for week 1. You will have to go cheap at other positions to get him in your lineup, but he will be well worth it. The only thing that confuses me is his touchdown production. Jones should get to the end zone more than he does, especially since he ranked 6th in red zone targets last season.

Odell Beckham Jr, New York Giants ($9,300)

For $100 less you could pivot to Odell Beckham Jr who will facing-off with the rival Dallas Cowboys in week 1. We all remember last season’s matchup between OBJ and the Cowboys that resulted in “The Catch.” I just don’t see the Cowboys defense being able to stop OBJ this week. He is already a home run threat every time he catches the ball and is by far Eli Manning’s favorite target. Will we see another highlight reel catch in this game?

Top DraftKings mid-priced plays

Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders ($7,200)

I absolutely love Amari Cooper in week 1, especially with a price tag of just $7,200 on DraftKings. It is so easy to pick on the New Orleans Saints secondary and I will be doing so once again this week. Cooper only scored six touchdowns last season, but I expect double digits this season for sure. David Carr proved that he and Cooper have chemistry together after completing six catches of 40-plus yards last season. I fully expect Cooper to have a huge game this week and will be in majority of my lineups.

Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars ($8,300)

The Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Green Bay Packers in week 1, in what will be one of the higher scoring games of the week. Both teams air it out and it could easily become a shootout which means a lot of fantasy points up for grabs. Look no further than the Jaguars’ wide receiver Allen Robinson. He is in the mid-range price for wide receivers but he has such a high ceiling that he could easily be in the top 5 in fantasy points after the week is done. Blake Bortles trust Robinson to come up with big plays and he was not afraid to throw it up to Robinson last season. I see the same thing continuing this week at Lambeau Field.

Top DraftKings low-priced plays

Tajae Sharpe, Tennessee Titans ($3,000)

Rookie wide receiver Tajae Sharpe has been all the talk in preseason for the Tennesee Titans so far. He caught 9 out of 12 passes for 163 yards and Marcus Mariota even said that Sharpe “makes it easy” on him. Sharpe will be starting opposite to Rishard Matthews to kick off the season and he is the favorite to lead the team in catches this season. At the minimum salary of $3,000, it is almost impossible for me to leave him off of any lineups that I create this week. He has just too much value to fade this week, so get him while his price is low.
