That’s right, Twitter, the social media powerhouse will be live-streaming a total of ten Thursday Night Football games this coming season. There were several digital video providers bidding against east other before it was announced on Tuesday including Facebook, Amazon, and Verizon.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell even reactivated his twitter account to confirm the surprising news. Twitter will live-stream the games through their app on phones, tablets, and even some internet-connected TVs. But don’t worry, NFL fans will still be able to watch these game on CBS, NBC, and the NFL Network.
Again a total of ten out of the 16 Thursday night’s games will be included in the deal. It will target a younger audience to the games and open up the future of live streaming sporting events.
