USA Today reported on Monday that the NFL will suspend several players if they do not comply and be interviewed by the league about PEDs. The league wants to interview four linebackers including Steelers James Harrison, Packer’s Clay Matthews, and Julius Peppers and free agent Mike Neal. If the players do not cooperate they will be suspended by August 25th.
The investigations began after an Al-Jazeera American report stated that a number of professional athletes were given banned substances and human growth hormones. This report also included quarterback Peyton Manning. Here is a snippet from the letter that was released by the NFL in a tweet by USA Today writer Tom Pelissero:
