Sean Weatherspoon randomly finds a check for $138,235, we’re all jealous 0. .

Sean Weatherspoon might not have landed a massive contract this offseason when he signed with the Atlanta Falcons on a one-year, $1.5 million deal, but he just received a nice little signing bonus. Fortunately for Atlanta, that signing bonus didn’t come from the Falcons, as Weatherspoon was apparently moving out of his Phoenix-area apartment, when his girlfriend found one his old game checks.

Best of all, that game check was an actual check for $138,235 from last season when he was with the Arizona Cardinals, not just a stub. According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, Weatherspoon’s check simply got lost in his mail. He tweeted about the “perks” of moving after getting the check.

Here’s what Weatherspoon told ESPN in a text:

“I was on my way home from working out when I received a picture of the check, dated Sept. 18,” Weatherspoon explained in a text message. “My fiancĂ©e found it in a stack of mail, I believe. I vaguely remember getting the hard copy after the Week 1 game. I’m not sure why it wasn’t directly deposited like all my other checks. I’m currently trying to contact [the Cardinals] now. LOL.”

Well, that has to be nice.
