When the New England Patriots selected defensive tackle Dominique Easley with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, most people likely expected him to be on the roster for more than two seasons. Due to a knee injury in 2014 and a quad injury in 2015, Easley played in just 11 games in both seasons, totaling 25 combined tackles, three sacks and one interception.
According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Patriots have simply decided to part ways with the third-year pro.
Dominique Easley has indeed been been cut by the Pats. Subject to waivers.

While it’s unfortunate for Easley, there’s a very good chance he gets picked up by someone, and it’ll be interesting to see where he lands when all is said and done.
