We are doing something a little different this week at Last Call Football. This is one article showing our overall thought process to building a winning daily fantasy lineup for week 13.
Stack: Drew Brees and Brandin Cooks, New Orleans Saints
Vegas has set the Lions and Saints game at the highest over/under on the week with a game total of 54. There will be a lot of fantasy points up for grabs in this game. The majority of people will be off of Cooks after being burnt last week when he put up a goose egg. Michael Thomas will be a very popular play after a huge game last week so it is a perfect time to roster Cooks. Quarterbacks have faired well against the Lions defense who rank 28th overall in fantasy points given up to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Running Back: Jordan Howard, Chicago Bears
The Bears go up against the 49ers this week and we have been picking on San Fransisco pretty much all year. The 49ers are dead last in the league in fantasy points given up to opposing running backs. Howard has been leading the rushing attack for the Bears in recent weeks and over the last four games he has averaged 4.5 yards per carry.
Tight End: Martellus Bennett, New England Patriots
With Rob Gronkowski being placed on season-ending IR earlier today, Martellus Bennett is now a great option at tight end going forward. Bennett has been burning fantasy owners in recent weeks so he should be fairly low owned this week. We already know that Bennett has huge upside potential and is in a great spot this week against the Rams. Los Angeles ranks 21st in fantasy points given up to opposing tight ends. I see a big week for Bennett coming up.
