The National Football League suspended three players on Thursday. The players involved include Dallas Cowboys linebackers Rolando McClain, New York Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson, and free agent Johnny Manziel. NFL Network’s own Ian Rapoport sums up today’s news:
To round out today's suspensions — Manziel, Sheldon Richardson, Rolando, DeMarcus Lawrence — FA TE Cameron Clear was suspended 4 games

McClain has been suspended 10 games for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy for the second time. He has been suspended four games to start the season just last year which was his first offense. McClain could end up forfeiting his $750,000 signing bonus due to his most recent suspension.
Richardson violated the league’s personal conduct policy which will result in a one-game suspension to start the season. Richardson was arrested last July after driving 143 mph while having a 12-year old in the car. In order to avoid time in jail, he pleaded guilty and ended up getting probation instead.
The final player to be suspended is no other than “Johnny Football.” Manziel has been suspended four games for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy. He would still be subject to the personal conduct policy if he gets another chance in the NFL.
Manziel also made news headlines recently after a woman who is staying in the Cabo house that Manziel is at, took a Snapchat of what appears to be cocaine in multiple little baggies. Manziel told TMZ that the drugs are not his and that he does not even know that girl. Manziel just admitted that he is going to get back in shape for the football season starting July 1st. This timing of this couldn’t be better.
