New York Giants refused to use the word ‘Redskins’ on first 2016 schedule release 0. .

When the official Twitter account of the New York Giants posted out their schedule, there was something that stood out about it. For every team on the schedule, they were listed by their nickname. So the Dallas Cowboys were just listed as “Cowboys,” and the Green Bay Packers were listed as “Packers.” The Washington Redskins though? Well, the Giants decided against using the word “Redskins.”

With the obvious controversy surrounding Washington’s team name, this does make sense. But, then the Giants did a bit of a 180 and decided to use the word “Redskins” on their next post, just over 30 minutes later.

Consensus? I have no idea what’s going on.
