Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie quarterback Jameis Winston had a pretty successful rookie season in the NFL. While he wasn’t able to lead his team to the postseason, he threw for 4,042 yards and 22 touchdowns, while also rushing for six additional scores. Not only that, but he also made the Pro Bowl. Obviously, there’s a lot to love about Winston’s game, and while there were some early concerns about his weight, that apparently is a thing of the past at this point.
“He lost a lot of weight. He slimmed out,” wide receiver Mike Evans told the Tampa Bay Times on Tuesday. “I was joking with him the other day. He took his shirt off, and I said ‘Man, what happened to the belly?’ He’s got a six-pack like me. He’s put in a tremendous amount of work and I think it’s going to be a great year for him and this whole team.”
Well, way to go, Jameis. I can safely say that while the second-year quarterback seemed locked in on improving his body this offseason, I’m not sure how many people would have predicted that he would have showed up to voluntary workouts with a six pack.
