The Atlanta Falcons had a bit of a scare last night when Julio Jones left the game a little earlier than expected. He tweaked his ankle on a play early in the game and would not return. The injury occurred on a deep pass which Jones drew a pass interference call on before limping off the field. Jones wanted to come back, but head coach Dan Quinn decided against it as he would rather have his biggest star available come regular season.
On top of that, no one is questioning what the big time wideout can do. Still, as a receiver with a long list of prior injuries, scares like this do nothing to ease the minds of falcons fans and fantasy players alike.
The night was a rough one for the Atlanta Falcons as far as injuries. Rookie first round pick, Keanu Neal, took a nasty stiff arm from Arian Foster and hurt his knee on the play. While no specifics are known, Neal has told his teammates that he is OK.
The Falcons will look to finish up their preseason next week against the Jaguars. They will hope to cruise into the regular season without any other injury scares as Dan Quinn is expecting big things in his second year at the helm of the Falcons.
UPDATE- Rookie Keanu Neal is set to miss the next three to four weeks due to a knee scope, per Ian Rapoport.
