This month’s issue of ESPN magazine landed Josh Norman smack dab front and center on the cover. Ever since being traded to the Washington Redskins, Norman has had a chip on his shoulder and his one and only goal has been to prove himself. According to NFL.com (via Dan Hanzus), in the magazine, Norman tears apart the Panthers organization (“They wanted it to be about the two main guys,Cam and Luke”), says he feels at home as a Redskin because (“I’m part Native American on both my mom’s and my dad’s side”) and proudly proclaims “I’m the best cornerback on Earth.”
Of course, Norman couldn’t walk away without calling out Odell Beckham, Jr. with more threats.
“Everybody saw what he was,” Norman stated, recalling (as he has done repeatedly) the infamous December 20 matchup in which he was fined over $26,000 for grabbing a facemask and striking the head and neck area. “People from around the league were coming up to me afterward and saying, ‘He does that crap all the time.’ He lost so much respect from people for that little tantrum.”
Although OBJ received three penalties during the game, he was not ejected or punished in any way. Norman still thinks it was all OBJ’s fault, and that Beckham, Jr. should be the one punished, rather than himself.

Now, Norman is threatening Beckham, Jr., “I’ve already got a couple people telling me, ‘OK, I’ve got a hit out on him.’ It’s going to be rough for him this year. And he brought it on himself.” Norman no longer plays for the Panthers, he plays for the Washington Redskins. The New York Giants face Washington September 25 at MetLife Stadium.
