Emmitt Smith is the best running back to ever play for the Dallas Cowboys. It’s hard to argue with that one, but apparently if you ask Smith himself, the man the Cowboys just drafted at No. 4 in the 2016 NFL draft is even better than he is.

They, of course, are talking about former Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott. While that’s a bold statement, who am I to question Smith?
For what it’s worth, Smith got more in-depth about his opinion of Elliott on 105.3 The Fan’s G-Bag Nation, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.
“Well, he is better in the context of his speed, he’s faster,” Smith explained Tuesday. “In the context of his ability to block, he can block. I just think that he’s a smart football player. At the end of the day, I’d like to think that he is better than me because obviously some of those things that we just talked about actually give him the ability to make a house call when he needs to.”
Elliott still has a long way to go before we can actually seriously consider placing him anywhere near Emmitt. Honestly, the rookie is probably just hoping to come in and make an immediate impact for the Cowboys.
