To speculate that a player wants to play for a specific team is one thing, but when you basically can tell they’re glowing about the idea of playing with that team, it’s a whole different ball game. The New York Giants have the No. 10 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and it’s looking more and more like the top running back, Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott, probably won’t be available.
If he is, though, Elliott wants everyone to know what type of three-headed monster would be created if the G-Men selected him.
According to Cameron DaSilva of FOX Sports, Elliott stated the following to FS South’s “The Panel” earlier this week:
“Eli, Odell and me — that’s a three-headed monster right there. I think we’d give everyone a run for their money. I think we could go win a Super Bowl pretty early.”
Whoa, baby. That’s a pretty big statement right there, at least the part about winning a Super Bowl “pretty early.” One thing that’s certain is that if the Giants are on the clock and Elliott is available, it’d be tough for them to pass on him.
Another thing that’s becoming more and more apparent? Elliott very well may not make it to No. 10, especially with the likes two division rivals in the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles currently in front of them.
