Running back Darren McFadden of the Dallas Cowboys has always been known for being injury prone over his professional career. Normally his injuries are football related, but that was not the case over Memorial Day weekend.
Head coach Jason Garrett confirmed that McFadden had surgery to repair a broken elbow on Tuesday. Garrett stated:
Darren McFadden hurt his elbow in an accident at home. He’s going to be out at least a couple of months, though we do anticipate seeing him at some point in training camp.
The “accident at home” that Garrett is referring to happens to be falling on his elbow after he tried to catch his falling iPhone from hitting the ground. Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown added that McFadden “Cracked his elbow instead of the phone.” McFadden will now be out until at least August.
I personally have never dropped my iPhone (knocking on wood), but I’m pretty sure I could have saved my iPhone without breaking a single bone in my body. And if I were under contract with any NFL team I would probably just let my cell hit the floor and risk having to possibly buy a new one, but that’s just me.
